Living Well In the Mountains

There are infinite opportunities for adventure, networking, and fun in the mountains. From hiking, biking, and cross-country trails to golfing, fishing, and rock-climbing, you could live ten lifetimes and not be able to do it all. I love sharing my favorite places, along with resources and advice for living well at a high altitude, as an extreme athlete, professional, or outdoorsman like myself and maintaining a great healthy balance of mind, body, and soul.

Each and every day, I start with my gratitudes …and it never takes me more than a moment to kick in on my list of things I am so very thankful for. Living in the mountains makes me a happy girl and surrounds me with joy.

Health and Wellness

Our community is very active. To balance the intensity of training and living at a high altitude, we try to seek seek support for our overall well-being, with yoga, massage, physical therapy, emotional support, and encouraging peer relationships. Building Hope and FIRC are incredible organizations to explore for resources or places to volunteer.

Hiking & Biking Trails

We have endless miles of trails systems that connect our whole county for hiking or biking, and many trails for cross-country skiing. Check out this Summit County Interactive Trail Map. I use hiking, biking, skiing and my cherished runs on the trails through the woods to help me keep a healthy mental and physical balance.

Outdoor Activities

A big part of what first drew me to Summit County, and most certainly has driven my ongoing love of life in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, is my love of everything outdoors and the ability to incorporate WHERE I live into HOW I live.
